❌Never disclose your PIN or any personal information regarding your bank accounts.

✅Always exercise due diligence and caution

🛑If you do engage with this type of call ask their name and station, then satisfy yourself they are who they claim to be.

⛔️If they claim there is suspicious activity on your bank account, hang up and contact your bank to verify this information.

Keyless Start doesn't mean you don't need the key!

It’s an opportunity for the local community to get access to their community Garda and discuss any issues or seek advice.

🔍Ensure you research the rental market & prices in the area to check if the price you have been offered is too cheap!! if it sounds too good to be true it probably is??

🏠Never agree to rent a property until you have personally viewed the property. No matter what information or demand is claimed on the property to force a quick decision do not transfer money to secure the property in advance of seeing it.

💸No payments or deposit until you have a written contract or lease. Never use cash to pay deposit. Ensure the key is handed over in person and check it is actually for the property

❌Be aware of fake contracts and fake keys to make an offer appear more convincing. Scammers will be highly convincing in order to exploit you.

STOP THINK TALK - ASK YOURSELF "Am I being scammed?"

🚩they won't meet you in person
🚩Payment demanded prior to contract/lease being signed
🚩Payment via EFT/wire transfer/cryptocurrency/Paypal/iTunes gift cards

Properly round up!!

- A set of keys found in the centre of Thomastown.
- A phone with a distinctive case found near Wallslough on the Bennettsbridge Road.
- 50,000 Euro in cash on a bench (not really, just checking if ye were reading)
