A new rule for cancellations because I'm having a lot of cancelations particulary on busy weekends some even late cancellations and getting no money out of it. I have decided if anyone cancels within two weeks of a booking, for a single or double booking canceled the full amount will be added to your next booking, for larger bookings 3 or more people you pay half the cost the cancellation next time you book. I just can't go on I have to do something as I put a lot of work into it and its a waste of my time taking bookings for nothing.

Someone did a very reckless thing over last weekend opened well tied knot on the pontoon which was attached to the old boat The Pern at the Riverhollow. In doing so let the pontoon off down the river where it could have done untold amount of damage. This happened Saturday or Sunday we spent all day Monday & Tuesday looking for it and luckily found it down river passed the bridge how it got past the bridge without damaging it I don't know. It is now back in position again Thanks to Christian Minihan who went looking for it and to Alex Kelly and friends who got it back up the river and back in position late Tuesday night. If any of our campers see anything odd happening in that area let us know. The photos are from the past and show how it was tied. The rope is missing and never found.

Dont drive on to the grass at the river area as it should be easy enough to walk a couple of meters to your pitch. Also If gets too hot in the open area at the river there is a communal area with a large tarp which gives good shade.

Just to remind you because the woodland and grass is very dry at the moment due to this heatwave. So when lighting fires at your pitch do not leave them unattended in the daytime and in the nighttime before you go to your bed put the fires out and make sure they are out. John at Riverhollow
