A huge thank you to all PPN groups and community members who joined us for the Kilkenny PPN Spring/Summer Plenary & Networking event on Wednesday!
It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces and meet new ones too. A special shout-out to all the fantastic groups, information stands, speakers, and performers who helped make the event so memorable and inspiring.

Athrú, an exciting new project, funded by CreativeIrl / Creative Kilkenny and run jointly by Kilkenny County Council Heritage Office and UCD School of Geography is working to record and preserve Kilkenny’s living heritage, and they need your help!

💥 NEWSFLASH! - MAKE WAY DAY IS PROTEST DAY!💥

This Friday, 29th May, is Make Way Day. This annual event is organised by the Disability Federation of Ireland aims to ensure that public spaces are fully accessible to people with disabilities.

This year, we are marking the event by holding a protest at MacDonagh Junction Train Station.

When MacDonagh Junction Shopping Centre was developed in 2007, stairs & a lift were installed from the front entrance to the Shopping Centre car park up to the railway station level.

The purpose of the lift is to provide access to the station without having to negotiate the steep hill.

💥 THIS LIFT HAS NEVER BEEN IN Service 💥

This is denying people with disabilities access to the station. We want to see this lift put in service NOW.

We are asking you to support us by coming to join us at McDonagh Junction Railway Station this Friday 29th May between 1.00 and 2.00 p.m.

Kilkenny PPN was delighted to be invited by the German Embassy in Dublin to meet with a German CDU working group focused on Infrastructure and Regional Development.

Kilkenny PPN had the opportunity to present on how the PPN engages with the Local Authority - Kilkenny County Council. The delegation's visit to Ireland, including Kilkenny explored how the country is advancing key infrastructure and supporting regional development.
