Kilkenny Recreation &  Sports Partnership At Kilkenny Recreation & Sport Partnership our vision is Getting Kilkenny Active!

The key aims of the LSP are to increase participation in sport, and to ensure that local resources are used to best effect. Some of the outcomes we seek are:

Club development
Volunteer training
Enhanced planning of sport at local level
Local directories of sports bodies & facilities
School, club, community and national governing body (NGB) links
Increased levels of local participation, especially

amongst specific target groups such as older people, girls & women, people with disabilities, unemployed people, and those who live in identified disadvantaged communities

The programme welcomes both young players and adults, with sessions designed to help participants enjoy football, build confidence, stay active and be part of the club community.

Bookings are now open for our Inclusive Summer Camp and Supported Swim Camp for children aged 8 to 16 years with additional needs who are attending school.

Inclusive Summer Camp
📍 Kilkenny Rugby Club
📅 Week 1: Monday 6th to Friday 10th July
📅 Week 2: Monday 13th to Friday 17th July
⏰ 10.00am to 12.30pm

A fun and supportive camp where children can get active, try new activities and enjoy a positive camp experience.

Kilkenny Recreation & Sports Partnership is issuing a call out for youth volunteers for our inclusive summer camps. If you are 15-17 years old why not give it a go - it's a great way to learn about disability, have fun with your friends and also make a difference to the lives of children with additional needs.

Dragons Lair are hosting an Annual Martial Arts Seminar, and as part of this are delighted to host a FREE two‑hour self‑defence course on

📍 Kilkenny College Sports Hall
This practical self‑defence session will be delivered by some of Europe’s top martial artists and is open to both men and women. It is suitable for ages 15+.
💪 Learn essential self‑defence skills
🛡️ Build confidence and personal safety awareness
🤝 A valuable life skill everyone should have
👕 What to bring:
• Comfortable clothing
• Water to drink
This course is completely free of charge — come along and bring a friend, as personal safety is such an important life skill.
