Muckross House is beautifully situated amidst the spectacular scenery of Killarney National Park. The elegantly furnished rooms

portray the lifestyles of the landed gentry, while downstairs in the basement, one can experience the working conditions of the servants employed in the house. Experience Tradition - the Traditional Farms is an exciting representation of the lifestyles and farming traditions of a rural community in the 1930s. Take a stroll down memory lane to a time before the advent of electricity, when all work was carried out using traditional methods. Three separate working farms, complete with animals, poultry and traditional farm machinery will help you re-live the past. Muckross Craft Centre, adjacent to Muckross House is home to a number of skilled craft workers who can be viewed using traditional skills in the crafts of weaving, bookbinding and pottery. Toddy and Jeanette welcome Paddy, a proud Clydesdale from Kildare, as he settles into his new home in Kerry.

This Easter, we invite you to step back into a way of life shaped by the land, the seasons, and the traditions of rural Ireland at Muckross House & Traditional Farms.

Among the farmyards and historic buildings, visitors may explore the 1930s schoolhouse, where stories of earlier times recall a period when children learned their lessons in modest surroundings, where lessons were taught in modest surroundings, reflecting the daily realities of rural life.

A visit to Muckross House and the Traditional Farms offers an opportunity to experience this heritage first-hand.

Our Traditional Farms are open every Saturday and Sunday from 1pm to 6pm.
Muckross House is open everyday 9.15am-6pm, Last Admission 4.40pm

Admission for entry to both Muckross House & Traditional Farms is €18 for adults and €8 for children aged 3-5 and €12 for children aged 6-16.

We welcome visitors of all ages to experience the traditions, stories, and living history of Muckross this Easter.
