Only 11 days left until the Launch of the 2026 Summer Festival at Vandeleur Walled Garden! We have SO much in store for you over the last weekend in June.

Don't forget that we'll be hosting the Kilrush Shamrocks on Saturday 27th June as they hold the official launch of Lords and Masters: Celebrating Kilrush Shamrocks Historic Five in a Row, 1975–1979, written by Chris Dixon O’Mara.

This special publication marks the 50th anniversary of one of the greatest achievements in Clare football: Kilrush Shamrocks’ five successive senior championships from 1975 to 1979. This book is both a celebration and an acknowledgement of the people behind that extraordinary success: the players and management, the volunteers and the supporters who shaped that era.
The book features a Foreword by GAA President Jarlath Burns, recognising the significance of this achievement not only for Kilrush Shamrocks, but for the wider GAA community.

💍 It's Wedding Season at Vandeleur Walled Garden & Visitor Centre! 💐

We've had the pleasure of hosting several lovely, intimate weddings in the garden this summer. 🕯️ Our most recent special occasion was the wedding of Fiona & Aidan, a lovely couple who chose to celebrate their big day in our newly renovated glasshouse. They were kind enough to share a few snaps of the beautiful festivities with us from their very talented photographer, James O'Driscoll. And aren't they something else!?

Officiated by Humanist Celebrant, Margaret Gammell, the day itself was filled with love, laughter, and beautiful moments. 💕 And we were so delighted to be part of the big day! We'd like to wish Fiona and Aidan a wonderful and happy life together. Congratulations! 🎉

☘️The Kilrush Shamrocks GAA Club Family Fun Day will take place on Sunday, 28th June at the Cricket Field from 12:00pm - 3:00pm. Join in the fun for just €20 per family!

⏰ The Summer Festival Countdown Has Officially Begun! ⏰
📆 We can hardly believe it's nearly time! Only TWO weeks left until the launch of the 2026 Summer Festival at Vandeleur Walled Garden!

🎶 Join us for THREE days of music and fun in the enchanting environs of Vandeleur Walled Garden & Visitor Centre in Kilrush, County Clare. This year, we are looking forward to welcoming Brian Kennedy, fresh from his Dancing with the Stars debut, for the first time! 🍃 Local favourite, Patrick Roche will have everyone stepping it out with his afternoon dancing on Sunday. 🌻 And our younger visitors are sure to be delighted by professional juggler, amateur scientist and insect enthusiast, Poppy will be here with her wonderful Bee-ology show and workshop!

🌈 We also have a fun schedule of free events on Saturday. We'll be welcoming back the Travelling Tradesmen for a demonstration of traditional blacksmithing and woodworking from 10am - 4pm on Saturday. And we'll be welcoming back Southern Cross Music for more music in the courtyard at 1:00pm on Saturday!

🌻 Recently, our Head Gardener, Karoly Torok, worked with our friends at Clarecare and Kilrush Credit Union to put together a fun planting workshop for ClareCare participants! 🌼

🪴 Participants in The Over 65s Club, who meet upstairs in our Green Room at Vandeleur Walled Garden & Visitor Centre, were treated to a lively and colourful plant potting workshop, and the results were just spectacular. 🍃 Swipe through the photos to see happy faces and show-stopping floral arrangements! 🌸
