📣 TODAY.......Free Heart and Hearing Checks coming to Mullingar Library

The event, organised by Westmeath Libraries, is open to everyone and there is no need to book ahead. These quick & free checks are an opportunity to receive valuable information on your hearing, heart health and how to prevent heart disease and stroke.

🤝 What: Free blood pressure, heart health and hearing checks.
📍Where: Outside Mullingar Library. (Westmeath County Council buildings N91 FH4N)
📆When: Friday, April 10th 2026 from 10:00 a.m. – 3:45 p.m.
🆓Cost & who: Free and open to the public, no need to book.

☘️💚It takes a town! Thank you post!💚☘️
The reaction to our first ever St. Patrick’s Day parade last week has been overwhelming!
There are so many to thank for making our parade such a huge success.

Firstly, thank you Kinnegad, to all of you who lined the Main Street, braved the weather and to all who marched in the parade - thank you! ☘️

The Parade committee from Kinnegad Town Team and Clonard Vintage Club.

Courtney Callaghan our parade MC.
Peter Dixon our Grand Marshall.
Alan from Midland Bouncing Castles providing them and the staff free of charge.
Kinnegad GAA, Fr Tom and the parish, Gildeas, PJ Darby and Supermacs, Chris Glynn cs for the use of their facilities on the day.
The Gardai as well as Jim Rock and all the volunteers who were Stewards on the day.
Westmeath County Council for barriers and their support.
Max dairies for sponsoring Electronic signs.
Rose Cole for all the refreshments at the GAA.
Jay and BR Transport for the gig rig and Moyvalley garden centre for shrubs.
Stephen Lynam for sound, as well as Jo Kinnear and Westmeath Comholtas and all the other musicians who performed on the day.
Allied Waste for the Bins.
Imelda and the Civil Defence for their assistance on the day.
Nigel Flynn and D&N Electrical for getting the lovely bunting up on the street.
John Fox for the drone and John McCauley for photos.
Dave Santori and Flight school for the fly over.
Kinnegad Killucan Autism Friendly Community for the Sensory area and Manna for toys, St Etchens for the therapy dog, Pippa and Eoin for his yellow VW Beetle.
Met Eireann for the weather. In true Irish style we had four seasons in one afternoon!

On Thursday 5th March, we held our initial meetup of Kinnegad Library's first ever Adult Book Club!📚

Whether reading is on your 2026 Resolutions or you are seeking to meet new people, book clubs are the perfect way to expand your reading habits, stimulate your mind and have a bit of craic while doing it!🤗

Our next meetup will be Thursday 2nd April at 6pm in our beautiful Community Space and we would love to see new faces!
