Support your local post office
We started running Kinnitty Post Office in 1982 & 37 years later, we are still proud to provide this service to the local community, and hope that we can continue to do so for many more years.
Unfortunately, we feel that local village post offices are in danger, and are being phased out at an alarming rate - there were over 150 rural post office closures in 2018, with plans for more over the coming years.
We’re obviously biased but we strongly believe that the post office is a critical resource for the local community and is more than just a place to post letters, collect pensions or pay bills - it’s a place for people to meet, to interact, to get advice when necessary and critically somewhere local and convenient for people of all ages to reach.
There is a real danger that Kinnitty Post Office will be targeted for closure, and consequently, we want to make everyone aware of the wide variety of services we offer and also to ask people to support their local post office whenever possible.
