Great News for the Island!

BOSTONS BAR REOPENING SATURDAY 20TH DECEMBER 5PM🥳🥳

Bostons Bar has never been just a pub. It's been a gathering place, a listening ear and a second home to this community for generations. There have been nights of great fun and great music, and times when a simple pint and a bit of company meant everything. All of that lives in these walls in Bostons. Handing it over takes guts and it takes faith.
That is why I am immensely proud to welcome Shauna O Leary as the New Proprietor of Bostons Bar. It takes real courage to step into something with this much history and even more to do it with respect, vision and heart. Shauna isn't just opening a business - she's choosing to become the custodian of a living piece of this community's heritage, and I truly believe Shauna will keep this heritage alive.
Shauna - I want to say this directly to you: your entrepreneurship, your bravery, and your willingness to take this leap speaks volumes. You've shown courage, belief and a deep understanding of what this place means. That's not something that can be taught - its something you carry.
As we head into the Christmas Season, a time of warmth, togetherness and hope - there couldn't be a better time for new beginnings. With Shauna's soft opening this Saturday 20th December 5pm, I ask everyone to support Shauna, to back her and make her feel the same warm welcome that our community has given to us.
Shauna, may this Island Pub bring you success, happiness, good nights and great stories. And may Bostons Bar continue to be full of laughter, kindness and community for many years to come.

It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Margaret Lynch.

Affectionately known to everyone as Mags or Maggie, she was truly the heart and soul of our club. A familiar and friendly face, Mags was a tireless supporter and contributor of Valentia GAA — whether it was selling lotto tickets around the local bars and shops, lending a hand on match days or simply being a constant and dependable presence.

Mags embodied the spirit of community with her dedication, warmth, and generosity, her selfless service over the years will never be forgotten

We will miss her dearly. Her big heart, her mischievous ways, kind nature, and unwavering support leave a legacy that will live on in the fabric of our club and our community.

Rest in peace, Mags.
