Roots Ireland's vast archive of digitized Irish records and the dedicated Research Team at TKH have succeeded  in reconnecting the diaspora from from every corner of the globe with their heritage. One remarkable search this year led Mary Beth Murphy Sheehan and her son to their ancestral homeplace in County Longford, where they were welcomed by Tricia O'Hara, a second cousin discovered through our research. Mary Beth's experience standing in the birthplace of Bridget O'Hara Murphy, her beloved grandmother, was profoundly moving: 'The work you do is truly healing and meaningful for people like me.'

We are delighted to introduce the newest member of The Killian Homeplace Family History Centre team — Mr. Hogan Magee.

Hogan joins us as an accomplished archaeologist, professional genealogist, and experienced tour operator, bringing with him a remarkable blend of academic expertise and hands-on knowledge in Irish heritage and family history.

With years of experience uncovering Ireland’s rich past — both through fieldwork and historical research — Hogan has a passion for connecting people with their ancestral roots. His ability to weave archaeology, genealogy, and cultural storytelling together will greatly enhance the services and experiences we offer at The Killian Homeplace.
