Sad news about Mrs Trautt - another great Abbey person away.
http://www.memoriesofhome.me/memories-many-keep-em-coming-folks/mrs-trautt-rip

I was very saddened to hear yesterday of the passing of Mrs Trautt. Like her husband Paddy before her she was a HUGE part of the Abbey and all it stood for. An absolute lady who was a real leader - not to mention the `minor` jobs of running a family and the only shop (which was a real focal point…

Another true `Abbey` man has departed - Paul Enright RIP.
People come and go in your life and I have known and kicked a ball with quite a few but no-one came close to Paul`s energy, commitment, niceness, sheer ability to be positive and genuine treatment of others. He was and always will be the best ambassador for both my club (Faithleachs) and my village (The Abbey). A lovely human being, from a lovely family who surrounded himself with a lovely wife and great friends. My Heaven has Paul up there calling St Peter `Horse` and walking straight into God`s best ever Junior team. Thanks for the memories Paul and most of all for being you.

Another great character who ALWAYS brought his students to a game on a sunday. This particular day he brought Jimmy Tarmey, Pat Joe Tumulty (who lived in No. 61 originally) and me. We went to Mullingar to see Longford and Dublin playing. Dublin had a great team that time....Joyce, Heffernan and Timm...
