We are a fully mobile bike hire business providing a collection and drop off service for both customer and bike. We co

llect the customer at there accommodation bringing them to any off the Great Southern trail start points(trail heads) allowing the customer to travel as much of the trail as desired visiting the local towns and villages sampling the great food and drink. There are many great things to do and see while out cycling the GST. Start with a visit to the Palatine museum in Rathkeale located at the old railway building housing an exhibition that seeks to re-present in detail the Irish Palatine experience ranging from their German places of origin, to their colonisation and settlement in Ireland, and the beginning of the GST. After visiting the Museum cycle along the old railway line (GST) following its every swist and turn, rise and dip passing through some beautifully constructed stone bridges until you come to ardagh station house(derelict) pausing and reflecting for a while as this is where The Ardagh Hoard, best known for the Ardagh Chalice, is a hoard of metalwork from the 8th and 9th centuries. Found in 1868, it is now on display in the National Museum of Ireland in Dublin. It consists of the chalice, a much plainer stemmed cup in copper-alloy, and four brooches, three elaborate pseudo-penannular ones, and one a true pennanular brooch of the thistle type; this is the latest object in the hoard, and suggests it may have been deposited around 900.[1] The chalice ranks with the Book of Kells as one of the finest known works of Insular art, indeed of Celtic art in general, and is thought to have been made in the 8th century AD. Moving along to newcastle west (largest town in the county) this beautiful town boast a treasure trove of things to do and see from the Castle Demesne - Over 0.4 square kilometres (99 acres) of parkland with numerous forms of flora and fauna as well as playing areas and sports field. The jewl in the crown is the Desmond banqeting hall and castle built in the 15yh century, this is a must see and includes a 40min quided tour free of charge. Along with the forementioned there is top boutiques great restaurants and a very lively nightlife. Barnagh is the next stop to visit the barnagh tunnel which is an example of the skilled tradesmen and women whom had very little equipment to tunnel out this 100mtr tunnel through the barnagh hill. Cycle onto templeglantine, Devon road station, through the gorgeous Tullig wood on into abbeyfeale onto Kilmorna on the Kerry border. Pedal pursuits bike hire also provides guided tours of the GST with our knowledgeable and friendly guides and prides ourselves in having the best of bikes and accessories so all the family can enjoy what is undoubtly one of the finests regions in Ireland. for those who want to mix it up a little why not cycle one of the looped routes off the greenway.

Any sign of the €300k that Limerick City and county council gave lazy bike tours minister! I had contacted minister Donovans on a few occasions but they never came back with answers about the money and the corrupt tendering process.

Hey there, have a listen to a recent interview with shirley o Regan from west lim radio regarding the folding of the bike hire business that limerick city and county council gave a licence to, as the main bike hire for the Limerick Greenway. This process has always shown itself as a corrupt and mismanaged process by LCCC and needs to have answers given regarding the voting of the county councillors to give that business a €300k loan with total disregard for a local business.

SCANDAL SCANDAL SCANDAL!!!!!! please read the article below by the post newspaper regarding the ceasing of business by the limerick greenway bike hire Ltd that limerick city and county council did everything in their power to put in business on the greenway including giving them €300k of a loan !!!!! 3 prime locations rathkeale, Newcastle west and abbeyfeale, 6 containers to operate out of including offices and generators to run the power.

The council saw that we were still successfully operating our bike hire business so decided to introduce a permit (not done on any other greenway) around the the carparks which was aimed at restricting our time in the carparks and an ability to commercially operate. We met with council officials regarding the permit and informed them that we would not be signing a permit and we didnt.

The shuttle bus service that limerick city and county council(even thou buseireann and the greenway bus travelled) insisted on, operating up and down greenway has also ceased to operate I have been reliably informed.

The allocation of €300k was voted on and approved by our local councillors bar a few and these councillors which we did tell them would have a detrimental effect on our business but they couldn't give a damn and actually some shared limerick city and county councils propaganda around misinformation at the time.

Limerick city and county council was also found by the office of the information commissioner to be acting less than honourably around a FOI that I made from them and is freely available on the OIC website and has been shared by me on several occasions.

I have made every effort to expose this corruption by limerick city and county council and have been vindicated by this latest news.

As a businessman and individual I have been treated extremely poorly and will endeavour to expose the totality of this wrong doing.
Also remember that this greenway was delivered by the great men and women of the southerntrail ltd who the council have treated with totally disregard and is nothing short of a disgrace. Thanks.

LIMERICK'S Greenway is without its main supplier of bikes for hire after the company that won the operating licence shut up shop.
