LONGFORD SINN FEIN DELEGATE
SPEAKS ON HOUSING CRISES AT ARD FHEIS

A local delegate from the Longford Hurson/McManus Sinn Fein Cumann spoke at this year's Sinn Fein Ard Fheis over the weekend.
A well-presented, passionate and sincere sounding James Donnelly pulled no punches when addressing the housing shortages in Longford and nationally.
With a background banner proclaiming the message from Sinn Fein "Delivering The Homes That Are Needed" James tackled the problems of both rental prices and the lack of new build housing criticising Minister O'Brien for failing to deliver on promises.
The opinion polls show Sinn Fein as the most popular political party both north and south, and young men like James Donnelly have something very interesting to say. The housing crises in Longford is chronic as it is elsewhere, but many people believe there is an unacceptable silence and inaction in Longford to even speak on the problem by those in a position to do so.

Republicans will gather to commemorate two of Longford and Leitrim’s heroes Seán Connolly and Tom Kelleher in Clonbroney Cemetery this Sunday at 3pm.

Seán Connolly and Tom Kelleher were both killed in separate actions by British Forces while on the run during the Tan War 1921, and both are buried in the Republican plot in Clonbroney Cemetery.

The commemoration will be led by the Kiltubrid Pipe Band and the main speaker is Padraig MacLochlainn TD.

All are welcome.
