If your organisation wishes to engage volunteers, or are seeking advice on any aspect of volunteering within your organisation, we can help you with Volunteer Management Training and ongoing support. We do provide a Garda Vetting service to volunteer involving organisatons in Longford. We offer a free placement service to non-profit organisations within the county and our website offers an interactive way for you to advertise your current volunteering opportunities. 🌍 World Refugee Week Celebrations in Longford.

A community intercultural event is taking place for World Refugee Week on Saturday, 20 June and is open to everyone, focusing on diversity, community building, and inclusion.

Details:

Date: Saturday, 20 June

Time: 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Location: Longford Athletics Centre (N39X6X8)

Activities: Storytelling, music, arts & crafts, sports, and community stalls.

Transport: Free buses are running from Granard, Ballymahon, Edgeworthstown, Keenagh, and Lanesborough from 10:00AM.

Refreshments will be provided on-site.

Please note there is no parking available at the venue itself.

Working alongside them at local events, our staff and volunteers see first hand the incredible work they do—and we welcome this opportunity for us all to share our views, experiences, and concerns about safety in our local areas throughout Longford.
