Core activities of the Arts Office are:
Provision of information and advice on all matters relating to the arts, the Arts Office acts as a contact point for information on s

uch issues as professional development, project planning, funding opportunities for artists, arts organisations and community groups. Project development – On occasions when the Arts Office identifies gaps in provision for the arts sector it initiates and develops projects. Financial Support – a range of grant schemes are administered by the Arts Office to individuals and groups, these include: Arts Act Grants, Residencies, Project Funds and Bursaries. Research – the Arts Office drafts various art-form development plans and strategies as well as carrying out research and preparing reports for the County Council and the Arts Council

Mide Arts Group is seeking a Researcher, with the relevant expertise to gather data to identify, map and evaluate the needs of artists, arts organisations and arts communities working in County Longford. The goal of this project is to generate research on the needs of artists and cultural producers that practice in county Longford in order to support Mide Arts Group develop a countywide strategic development plan.

1. Sat 11th Jul: Abú Fest, Ballymahon. We will be playing on The Yard stage as part of this 1 day music festival celebrating local alternative bands at Skelly’s Bar. https://abufest.com/

2. Fri 17th July: Canton Casey’s - Blasta Beats!!
This is going to be a showcase gig for BlastsBrass including a full set from the band, Brass•e•oke (a new performance concept, more on that later) and DJ Blasts playing Soul, Funk & Disco to close out the night.
