๐Ÿ๏ธ Look twice. Save a life. ๐Ÿ๏ธ

Motorcyclists are among the most vulnerable road users on our roads, and junctions continue to be a significant risk area for serious collisions.

The RSA's new Motorcycle Safety Campaign is reminding motorists that a simple extra check could make all the difference.

Before moving out from a T-junction:
โœ… Look right.
โœ… Look left.
โœ… Look right again.

A motorcyclist can be easy to miss. Motorcycles are smaller than other vehicles, may be less expected on the road, and their speed and distance can be more difficult to judge. A quick glance may not be enough. ๐Ÿ๏ธ๐Ÿš—โš ๏ธ

The campaign highlights one important message: There are no second takes in life.

Taking an extra moment to properly check for an approaching motorcyclist could help prevent a collision and keep everyone safer on our roads.

Whether you're driving a car, riding a motorcycle, cycling, or walking, we all have a role to play in creating safer roads for everyone! ๐Ÿค

๐Ÿšธ BACK TO SCHOOL: SLOW DOWN & STAY SAFE ๐Ÿšธ

As children return to school this week, we're asking all road users to take extra care. More children will be walking, cycling and crossing roads each day, especially during drop-off and pick-up times. ๐Ÿšธ๐Ÿซ๐Ÿšถโ€โ™‚๏ธ

The latest RSA report found that one in eight child road casualties occurred while travelling to or from school. Children are among our most vulnerable road users, so it's important that we all play our part in keeping them safe.

Remember:
โœ… Slow down near schools
โœ… Watch for children crossing unexpectedly
โœ… Avoid parking on footpaths
โœ… Be patient with school wardens and obey their instructions

A few extra seconds of care could make all the difference!

Let's work together to make every journey to and from school a safe one. ๐Ÿšธ๐Ÿ™Œ
