Well... that's it... the dust has settled after a campaign that began for me way back in October!! We had a huge rural area to cover, but myself and my team did our utmost to get to every door and it was a great experience getting to engage with all the people on the doors. Unfortunately for me, the end result did not go my way, but I am truly humbled by the support I received and the incredible vote that I got as a first-time candidate for Sinn Féin.
I would like to thank each and every person who came out and voted for me and for my Sinn Féin colleagues in the Carrickmacross - Castleblayney LEA.
Overall we received a huge vote and I would like to wish my colleagues all the best in the term ahead as Sinn Féin councillors and I know that they will continue to work hard for the people as Sinn Féin councillors always do. I also wish to thank my campaign team and my campaign manager Enda Tourish in particular, for their incredible hard work, encouragement, and support throughout the campaign. We could not have done anymore. It was a privilege being your candidate and I could never thank you enough for your commitment and friendship. It has been a fantastic journey, which has come to an end - for now!! Finally, a big thank you to my partner Enda, my family and friends and I look forward to getting back to spending more time with you all.. Go raibh míle míle maith agaibh go léir..

Rural South Monaghan has been left for too long without a real rural representative who is rooted in that community
and from within that community. If elected I will act as a strong, committed voice for rural communities at Council level, be proactive in my dealings with the communities there and my primary focus will be to represent all in those rural communities with a real understanding of what it means to come from rural Ireland and the issues that particularly affect these areas.

Great to have my two No 1s, Daddy and Mammy, helping me on my campaign today.
If you want change, you have to vote for Sinn Féin in the European elections, in the local elections and in the General Election when it comes. It’s time for new people with new solutions and new ideas at local government, in the Dáil and in the European parliament.

If you want someone who will work for you, not just at election time then vote Sinn Féin.

On June 7th I’m asking the people of Magheracloone, Killanny, Corduff and Carrick Rural to Vote me, Aoife Kindlon no 1 and then continue their preferences for my Sinn Fèin colleagues.

This weeks northern standard.

The change that is needed can start on June 7th. Change must start at a local level and I am asking the people of rural South Monaghan to help me, as a rural candidate who understands the issues affecting our rural communities, and who will focus on those same communities if elected on June 7th, to help make that change.
