For our meeting on 22nd May, we want to remind everyone that we will not be meeting in the Hibernian Hotel & Leisure Centre as normal, but we will be out in one of our members premises, Munster Fire & Safety in Millstreet.

We will be back in our normal meeting mode from Friday 29th May.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out and took part in Darkness Into Light. Your support, kindness, and community spirit made the morning so special and meaningful. 💛

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who walked with us, volunteered, helped organise, and supported the event in any way. Seeing so many people come together in hope and solidarity was truly inspiring.

A very special thank you also goes to all the local businesses who generously donated food and refreshments - We will tag them in the comments and if ye can support them please do!
Your kindness and support were greatly appreciated and helped make the event possible.

Together, we walked from darkness into light. 🌅

We will have a update on the amount raised over the next few weeks and look forward to sharing it with you all.

🌅 Darkness Into Light – Tomorrow Morning in Millstreet 🌅

A gentle reminder that we will be gathering at 4:45am tomorrow morning @ the Junction to Millstreet Community School to take part in Darkness Into Light in support of Pieta House. 💛

Everyone is welcome to join us as we walk together from darkness into dawn in support of those impacted by su***de and self-harm.

After the walk, all participants are invited back to Munster Fire and Safety for teas, coffees, and a bite of breakfast. ☕🥐

MUNSTER FIRE & SAFETY CALLING THE PEOPLE OF MILLSTREET AND SURROUNDS TO SUPPORT PIETA HOUSE

The team at Munster Fire & Safety is walking from Darkness into Light on 9th May 2026 and they’re putting out the call to the people of Millstreet and the surrounding areas to do the same.

The Darkness into Light Walk has been organized by Munster Fire & Safety in Millstreet since 2021 and has proven to be a landmark annual community occasion.
Munster Fire and Safety in Millstreet is an official Darkness into Light venue and participants can register online to get their T shirt. (www.darknessintolight.ie)
Collection boxes will still be available from this Friday the 17th April in local shops and on the day for anyone wishing to attend.
As usual, Munster Fire & Safety will have the support of other local businesses to provide refreshments in their Main Street store after the walk.

The walk will start at 4:45am to do a 5k walk starting at the junction for the Green Glens on the Killarney Road, walking to Drishane and back to the shop in time to have the kettle boiled for a hot cuppa for anyone who would like to avail.

Pieta House provides an essential service, and the Darkness into Light idea is a powerfully symbolic way to raise mental health awareness, as well as to remember any loved ones we have lost.
