If you’re looking for some growing inspiration be sure to pop into Forrest Hall Mitchelstown and ask for the rear courtyard garden.

Our local ETB course are doing fantastic work to showcase what’s possible in a relatively compact area.

Our community centre is open to the public and available for group and class bookings.

Thanks to everyone who was out in force all across Mitchelstown last night and a big warm welcome to the new volunteers who joined us 🥰

Be sure to check out George’s St today - the old mart and Oisin House got a spruce up, we had litter picks in the centre of town, the school pencils were cleaned and our team was in action weeding the pollinator bed on Cahir Hill

Many thanks to everyone who joined us for this wonderful event last night.

It was a full house for an interactive tour with the amazing Dr. James O’Neill of UCC through the unique lifecycle of the swift and their lives lived in constant motion in the air.

While there are certainly threats to swift nesting areas, Dr. James shared lots of helpful and easy to follow advice for creating welcoming and safe nesting areas in our community.

If you would like to join our programme to welcome more swifts to Mitchelstown, we have more talks, resources and workshops coming up over the coming months.

Thanks to Saint George's Mitchelstown for hosting this wonderful event - be sure to watch out for their upcoming Biodiversity & Natural Heritage conference.
