We are deeply shocked and saddened to learn of the passing of our dear friend and colleague, Ina Frídenberga.
Ina served with great dedication as Secretary of Monaghan Fianna Fáil, always ready to lend a helping hand and committed wholeheartedly to the community of Carrickmacross. Her warmth, energy, and generosity touched everyone who had the privilege of working alongside her.
Ina passed away peacefully on 29th May 2025, surrounded by her beloved family at Beaumont Hospital, Dublin. She will be sorely missed and lovingly remembered by her husband Aivis, her daughter Santa, her son Artúrs, her brother Gatis, her sister Skaidríte, her extended family, her loyal dog Charlie, friends, neighbours, and all who knew her.
Ina will repose at her home, ‘An Bergs’, Ardee Road, Carrickmacross, on Tuesday, 3rd June, from 3pm to 7pm.
Her funeral cortège will leave her home on Wednesday, 4th June, proceeding on foot to St. Finbar’s Church, arriving for Funeral Service at 2pm. Burial will take place afterwards in Gods Acre Graveyard, Dundalk Road, Carrickmacross.
A Fianna Fáil Guard of Honour will assemble at the entrance to Highfield, Carrickmacross at 1.20pm on Wednesday. All party members and supporters are kindly requested to attend as a mark of respect for Ina’s outstanding contribution.
Ina was a constant support on the campaign trail, working closely with Cllr PJ O’Hanlon, Robbie Gallagher, and was an incredible mentor and friend to Ógra Fianna Fáil members throughout the county.
Her legacy of service, kindness, and community spirit will never be forgotten.
Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam dílis.
Rest in Peace, Ina.
