A postcard from the picturesque 19th century mill village of Mullan, situated a few kilometres east of Emyvale 😍✨

One of the few well-preserved examples of early rural industrial development in existence in Ireland, the village derives its name from the Irish Muileann meaning β€˜Mill’. At its heart was once a substantial flax mill, and the village served as a centre of the linen industry in the 18th and early 19th century.

Today, Mullan is home to Mullan Lighting, a bespoke lighting design and manufacturing business which exports to over 50 countries around the world πŸ’‘
