The My Open Library initiative in Mullingar allows you to access from 8am through until 10pm, seven days a week. Your library is your space to relax and read, study and research, write and use the computers and have access to a printer. Please contact a member of staff if you would like to become a MOL member

Friday 18th September is Culture Night - with loads of FREE cultural events happening across the country. Athlone Library will be the location for a once-off rehearsed-reading of Brinsley MacNamara's 1926 comedy play, 'Look at the Heffernans!'. Directed by Michael Scott with a professional cast. Kinnegad library is celebrating Culture Night on Friday 18th September by asking members of the public to come share their memories of the old schoolhouse. Do you have a connection to the old schoolhouse - as a past pupil, a music maker, or simply someone who holds fond memories of the building? LAST CHANCE TO VIEW THIS FREE EXHIBITION
To celebrate the release of the 1926 Census, Westmeath County Council is delighted to host a landmark exhibition curated by the National Archives, entitled ‘The Story of Us: Independent Ireland and the 1926 Census’.
Today, Friday, 4th Sept between 10 and 4pm. Half-day opening on Saturday 5th September, 10.30am to 1.30pm.
