PART 8 OF THE PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS, 2001 (AS AMENDED)
PART 8 PUBLIC NOTICE
Pursuant to the requirements of the above, notice is hereby given that Westmeath County Council proposes to carry out development at Blackberry Lane, Lissywollen, Athlone, Co. Westmeath.
For a period of 4 weeks the Plans and Particulars of the proposed development are available for inspection at https://consult.westmeathcoco.ie/en and they can be inspected or purchased at a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy at the offices of Westmeath County Council at Athlone Civic Centre, Church Street, Athlone, N37 P2T5 or Áras An Chontae, Mount Street Mullingar, N91 FH4N between the hours of 9.30am to 4.00pm each day, excluding weekends & Bank Holidays from 20th June 2026 up to and including the 20th July 2026.
For a period of six weeks, beginning on 20th June 2026, submissions or observations with respect to the proposed development dealing with the proper planning and sustainable development of the area in which the development would be situated, may be made in writing to: The Administrative Officer, Planning Department, Áras an Chontae, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath, N91 FH4N or online via the Council's Consultation Portal at https://consult.westmeathcoco.ie/en.
The closing date for receipt of submissions or observations is Tuesday 4th August 2026 at 4pm.
Submissions should be labelled ‘LAA4 2026 Blackberry Lane, Lissywollen, Athlone’ and include the name, address and details of any organisation represented if relevant.
Please note - Written submissions or observations received will form part of a public statutory report to be presented to Westmeath County Council. The information contained in submissions will be available for public inspection on the Council's website and at the Council’s public counter on request. Details, including the names of those making submissions will be shared with relevant Council Departments or their agents involved in the Part 8 process.
