As children return to school, we alongside An Garda Síochána Kildare, are reminding all road users to slow down, stay alert and help keep school journeys safe.

Take extra care near schools, eliminate distractions and look out for children walking, cycling, scooting or getting off buses.

Parents/Gaurdians are encouraged to take time to discuss road safety with children before the new school term begins - follow the Safe Cross code - Stop, Look and Listen.

Remember: Slow Down, Look Out and Help Keep Our Children Safe This School Year.

Lá Ollmhaithiúnais do Thochtanna i gContae Chill Dara

Tá áthas ar Chomhairle Contae Chill Dara, i gcomhpháirtíocht le AES Recycling agus le tacaíocht ón gCiste um an nGeilleagar Ciorclach, Lá Ollmhaithiúnais Saor in Aisce do Thochtanna a fhógairt do theaghlaigh.

Tugtar cuireadh do chónaitheoirí tochtanna nach bhfuil ag teastáil uathu a thabhairt leo lena ndiúscairt saor in aisce le linn na hócáide aon lae seo.

Soláthraíonn an t-ollmhaithiúnas seo bealach áisiúil agus neamhdhíobhálach don chomhshaol chun seanthochtanna tí a dhiúscairt.

Tabhair faoi deara:
• Is do thochtanna amháin atá an ócáid seo.
• Glacfar le tochtanna singile, dúbailte agus trí-cheathrú amháin.
• Uasmhéid 6 thocht in aghaidh an tseachadta.
• Ní ghlacfar le haon chineál eile dramhaíola ná le hearraí móra tí.
• Níl an ócáid oscailte d’eintitis tráchtála ná do charthanais agus tá sí teoranta do chustaiméirí tí.
• Ní ghlacfar le diváin, piliúir, frámaí leapa, stóil chos, toilg ná cathaoireacha uilleacha.

Bain leas as an deis seo chun seanthochtanna a dhiúscairt ar bhealach freagrach agus chun cabhrú le Contae Chill Dara a choinneáil glan agus saor ó bhruscar.

Chun tuilleadh eolais a fháil, téigh i dteagmháil leis an Roinn Comhshaoil, Comhairle Contae Chill Dara ar 045 980 588 nó trí ríomhphost chuig [email protected]
