Ahead of the June Bank Holiday weekend, Ireland’s key water safety agencies are urging the public to exercise caution when taking part in activities on or near the water, warning that cold water temperatures continue to pose a significant risk despite warmer weather conditions.

Busy beaches mean more risk - stay safe and enjoy the water responsibly this summer.

If you’re heading to the coast:
• Swim between the red and yellow flags
• Watch for rip currents - FLOAT, don’t fight
• Keep clear of boards and boats
• In an emergency call 999 / 112 or use VHF Channel 16

Warm weather can create dangerous conditions at sea, even when the water looks calm. Look out for each other and make safety your priority.

The New Ross River Search and Rescue would like to thank the organisers of the William (Willie) Culleton Memorial Run for choosing us as one of this year's beneficiaries from the event.
We received the astounding amount of 2,070 euro from them.
We were honoured to be chosen and would like to thank from the bottom of our hearts the volunteers and organisers and all who contributed to the entire event.
