MACE Community Grants 2026

MACE has launched the second year of our MACE Community Grants initiative where we invite local groups and clubs across Ireland to apply for a share of a €50,000 fund designed to support projects that make a positive difference in their communities.

The campaign will award fifty grants of €1,000 each to community organisations, supporting projects that make a positive and lasting difference at a local level.

This is the second year of our largest community initiative and builds on a very successful inaugural year that saw widespread participation from local groups and retailer engagement across the MACE network.

Fronted by MACE brand ambassador and former Ireland rugby captain Johnny Sexton, this year’s campaign features a series of videos showcasing three of last year’s grant recipients and the tangible impact the funding has had in their communities.

Applications open on 20 August and close on 10 September.

Summer snaps.
Thanks to the Abbeyfeale Mens Shed for sharing their photos from their recent outing to the Beara Peninsula. Everyone looking good and in fine form. A social day away from the busy shed and their many activities to enjoy the views of the Kingdom.

This Shed is an amazing group who have been key collaborative partner in a number of SICAP initiatives in 2026, supporting us as we deliver our programme. We look forward to the continuation of this working relationship. This mens shed like many across West Limerick provide hugely valuable spaces for men to meet up, share skills, stories and connect and learn from each other.

Supported by HSE Section 39 funding and SICAP. Transport provided through TFI Local Link Limerick Clare. Green Ribbon Campaign

A range of information received in from Annemarie Rice in the
Office for Su***de Prevention on the upcoming Green Ribbon campaign for the month of September. A nice selection of workshops and events happening in Limerick.

The Green Ribbon Campaign is Shine’s largest and most high-profile annual campaign. It is a key opportunity for us to lead the way on stigma reduction around mental illness in Ireland. More than a campaign, we are working to develop it as a social movement that highlights our shared responsibility to destigmatise mental health and foster a more compassionate and supportive society.
