Loughcrew Megalithic Centre is a fantastic day out for all the family. It combines the old with the new in the courtyard where you can relax with a coffee or visit the Heritage Cottage for a step back in time. The cottage is from the 1700's and features furniture and artifacts from days long gone. When you hear the stories of witches, kings and legends you will be eager to get going to the passage

tomb complex. A good stroll uphill, clearing the head and stretching the legs will leave you lost for words as the view stretches out in all directions. Visit Cairn T the most famous cairn and learn about the Equinox and marvel at the architecture. Sit in the Hag's Chair and survey the land while making a wish. We offer a range of accommodation at the foot of the Loughcrew cairns. Our small family run site is the perfect base to explore the wider Boyne Valley Region. Camp out under the stars with incredible views of the Irish countryside. Our recently established glamping village is complete with 6 luxurious yurts finished to the highest standard. All our accommodation can be booked online through our website. This brand new facility just at few minutes drive from the M3. VisionÉire invites you to join us at the on Sunday, 21st June, for a community gathering and celebration marking the Summer Solstice.

This year, the solstice coincides with Father's Day in Ireland. As we gather beneath the sun at its height, we honour the masculine in all its expressions - the fathers and sons, friends and partners, mentors and guardians, and the masculine qualities that live within us all.

Together, through art, poetry, song, story, and circle, we will celebrate, uplift, and acknowledge the men in our lives within the magnificent ancient landscape of Loughcrew.

What to expect:

• Music, poetry, storytelling & performance
• Community stage
• Art & craft market
• Men's circle honouring fathers
• Workshops
• Nature-based arts & crafts for children

We are opening the space for community contributions and warmly invite artists, musicians, poets, storytellers, performers, and creatives of all kinds to share their gifts as part of the gathering. Whether through song, spoken word, visual art, movement, or ceremony, your voice is welcome.

Saturday 20th June - Join us for this special Summer Solstice Drumming Circle with Derval @7.30pm 🌀

Weather permitting this circle will be held outdoors in our camping field - please feel free to bring a blanket or cushion to sit on 🌱

There is no charge for this event however Derval may have a bucket for donations on the day for a charity of her choice.

After the circle some people may want to walk up to the Loughcrew Cairns to watch the sunset 🌅
