Bhí áthas an domhain orainn fáilte a chur roimh Cat agus David McCann ar ais go Teach Solais Fhánada Déardaoin agus Dé hAoine mar chuid dár gcuairteanna scoile.
Is cairde móra don Teach Solais iad Cat agus David, agus thar na blianta tá siad tar éis ceardlanna, imeachtaí do pháistí agus do dhaoine fásta, agus go leor gníomhaíochtaí oideachais a reáchtáil linn. Bíonn siad i gcónaí thar barr leis na páistí agus tá an-tóir orthu i scoileanna ar fud an cheantair.

We were delighted to welcome Cat and David McCann back to Fanad Lighthouse on Thursday and Friday as part of our visiting school tours.
Cat and David have been wonderful friends of Fanad Lighthouse for many years, delivering workshops, facilitating events for children and adults, and helping us create memorable educational experiences for our local community. They are always a huge hit with young people, and we were thrilled to have them join us once again this week.
Through their organisation, The Sea Collective, Cat and David share their passion for Ireland's marine environment, coastal heritage, and incredible biodiversity. With more than 20 years of combined experience in research, citizen science, and outreach programmes, they have dedicated their careers to inspiring others to connect with and learn more about the ocean on their doorstep.
Having worked in some of the most biodiverse regions in the world, they remain convinced that Ireland's marine life is every bit as fascinating and spectacular as anywhere else on Earth. Their workshops draw on a wealth of experience working with marine wildlife, coastal habitats, plastic pollution, climate change, and ocean sustainability.
Our visiting school groups thoroughly enjoyed the hands-on activities and the opportunity to learn more about the sea, the environment, and the importance of protecting our coastal ecosystems for future generations.
A huge thank you to Cat and David for sharing their knowledge, enthusiasm, and passion with our visitors. We always love having them at Fanad Lighthouse and look forward to working together again soon.

Bhí cuairteoirí an-speisialta againn ag Teach Solais Fhánada Déardaoin agus Dé hAoine agus ár ngrúpaí scoile ar cuairt.
Ba mhaith linn buíochas mór a ghabháil le Martin Clinton ó Charraig na Rón, ceardaí agus feirmeoir áitiúil, a thug leis a chuid caorach álainn Valais Blacknose chun bualadh leis na páistí.

Our visiting school groups had some very special guests at Fanad Lighthouse on Thursday and Friday.
A huge thank you to local craftsman and sheep breeder Martin Clinton of Carraig na Rón, who brought along some of his beautiful Valais Blacknose sheep to meet the children. Their friendly nature and distinctive fluffy appearance made them an instant hit with pupils and teachers alike.

Go raibh míle maith agat Martin, as cuidiú linn cuimhní speisialta a chruthú dár gcuairteoirí óga an tseachtain seo.
