Roscommon Lions in conjunction with Roscommon Gaels presenting €1500 cheque to Lions Ireland supporting the construction of safe centres for Syrian refugee children in Lebanon. Thanks again to everyone who supported this very worthy project. Donations still coming in, tks to Cllr Laurence Fallon for his generous one.

A big thank to everyone involved in Roscommon Lions Charity Walk which raised €3000 for charities. Well done all volunteers & walkers that make it possible. Thanks also to Deputy Eugene Murphy TD, Councillors Councillors Nigel Dineen, Orla Leyden & Kathleen Shanagher for their generous support.

We are delighted to have the Roscommon Gaels under age team on board for our charity walk on April 9th. Funds raised will not only go to Syrian refugees but will also help support local clubs like the Gaels and we hope you all join us on the day to show your support!

Thanks to Roscommon People for the write up in today's paper about the launch of our inaugural Lion's Club Charity Walk which takes place on Sunday, April 9th.

The 5km/10km charity walk will raise vital funds
for the construction of Safe Centres for Syrian refugee children in Lebanon and will also benefit local causes such as the development of new dressing rooms at Roscommon Gaels GAA.

We hope you, your family, friends and neighbours will come out to support this worthy cause and enjoy a healthy walk around on Sunday, April 9th at 2pm from Hannons Hotel.

** Roscommon Lions Club Charity Walk **

Not long to go to our Inaugural Charity Walk (5Km/10Km) which takes place on April, 9th at 2pm from Hannon's Hotel, Roscommon.

This charity walk will raise vital funds to support the construction of Safe Centres for Syrian Refugee children in the Bekaa Valley, Northern Lebanon & other Lions Club local charities.

The Centres will provide social, play, psychological & trauma counselling, health & educational supports to the children who have been traumatised by their experiences during the war.

Register today to join us in our inaugural walk and get the whole family out in to the fresh air to enjoy the health benefits of walking!
