Great to see more Greenways being planned for Count Clare. Wouldn't progressing The Three Towns Greenway linking Sixmilebridge through Bunratty on to Shannon be a wonderful addition to our community and locality.

✅👣 Clare County Council is submitting the first section of the West Clare Railway Greenway to An Coimisiún Pleanála for development consent, marking an important milestone in the progression of the Kilrush to Kilkee section of the project.

The proposed greenway will follow the route of the former West Clare Railway, where feasible, and aims to provide a safe, accessible and attractive recreational route for local communities and visitors.

As part of the planning process, Clare County Council has also commenced steps to acquire lands required for the Kilrush to Kilkee section of the greenway.

Lovely to see the Dr Brendan O'Reagan interpretive centre opened. Well done to Sixmilebridge Historical Society as one of the drivers behind the project.

✨🎀 A new permanent interpretive centre celebrating the life and legacy of Dr Brendan O’Regan has officially opened at Bunratty Castle & Folk Park.

The Dr Brendan O’Regan Centre brings together archive material, interpretation and a dedicated exhibition space to recognise the Sixmilebridge native’s influence on tourism, aviation, industry, commerce and peacebuilding in County Clare, across Ireland and internationally.

The centre was developed following a long-held vision by Sixmilebridge Historical Society to establish a permanent tribute to Dr O’Regan.
