Sligo Social Services strives to empower individuals, families and communities in the Sligo region in improving their quality of life through the promotion of social justice, equality and the dignity of the human being. The fledgling organisation had a clear aim in assisting those who were suffering the effects of disadvantage and marginalisation. Sligo Social Services is a friendly, confidential
and community based service that has grown over the years which now provides support to a wider range of people in Co. We have remained true to our original mission, while being flexible and innovative in our response to those who are experiencing difficulties. We recognise that the community’s needs and circumstances are every changing, and we are committed to offering support, so that they never find themselves alone. Our Services:
We offer services in Childcare, Youth Counselling, Temporary, Long Term and Emergency Accommodation, Substance Misuse Services, Community Employment Schemes, an Advice and Information Walk-in-Service, Meals on Wheels, Befriending Services and Thrift Shops.
