Following confirmation from Uisce Éireann Irish Water that the incident in the Malahide Estuary had concluded, we carried out a resample on Friday.

Today, we received the laboratory results, which confirmed Excellent bathing water quality status. On the basis of these results, we will proceed with the removal of the Do Not Swim advisory notice from Malahide Beach.

It should be noted that due to dangerous currents from the estuary and marine traffic, Malahide flies a red flag permanently.

Fingal County Council and Bleeper Bike have introduced a folding bike lease scheme exclusively for Sofa to Saddle participants, helping them continue cycling with confidence after the programme. For just €20, participants can lease a folding bike for 3 months, with major repairs covered. Using the same type of bike as those used during the course, the scheme makes the move to independent cycling even easier. A great example of continued support for the Sofa to Saddle community, offering a low-cost way to enjoy the benefits of cycling and bike ownership without a significant upfront investment. Bleeper
