Overnight firefighters rescued six people from an apartment block in the Mac Uilliam estate in .

Firefighters used a ladder to bring the people to safety and breathing apparatus teams were able to extinguish the fire.

Four fire engines from Tallaght, Dolphins Barn and Rathfarnham fire stations were on scene along with ambulances from the National Ambulance Service and Dublin Fire Brigade.
