🎓 A massive congratulations to Garda Reserve Intake R251 who officially graduated at the Garda College last week! 👏

​It was an incredibly proud day shared with family, friends, and colleagues.

A day of immense pride and celebration! 🎓👮‍♂️👮‍♀️

​On Monday, June 8th, our Probationer Gardaí reached a major milestone in their careers. In a beautiful ceremony shared with their families, they were conferred with a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Policing from the University of Limerick.

​This degree is the culmination of immense hard work—achieved only after successfully completing 36 weeks at the Garda College followed by 2 full years on the frontline on probation.

🌍 International Collaboration at the Garda College! 🇮🇪🤝🇳🇴

​We recently completed a fantastic Erasmus exchange! 4 An Garda Síochána Probationers travelled to the Norwegian Police College for a week-long immersion in their training programs.
​In return, we welcomed 4 Norwegian Police Students to Ireland.

They spent an action-packed week at the College tackling Fi****ms, FATS, drill, and Redman defensive tactics, before heading to Dublin to shadow a frontline operational unit. 🚔

​A massive thank you to our Exchange Coordinator, Instructor Mick Lavelle, for helping organise such a valuable program! 👏

After today's Friday morning parade with Intakes 254 and 262, Superintendent Kieran Ruane led a solemn tribute to the late Student Garda Martin Whelan.

It was thirty years ago yesterday, on June 4th, 1996, that he sadly passed away at the Garda College.

His memory lives on at the College, where a plaque remains dedicated in his honor.

Great having Deric Ó h'Artagáin and the Ireland AM crew at the Garda College yesterday.

Superintendent Kieran Ruane, Instructor Orla McDonald, and Intake 254 Trainees Katarzyna & Donal chatted all things recruitment including what life is like at the Garda College.

Deric even had time to post an impressive time on the PCA fitness test! 😄🏃‍♂️💨
