And with that, the Bealtaine Festival 2026 comes to an end at Thurles Library.

Over the past month, we were delighted to host a vibrant and varied programme celebrating creativity, wellbeing, and community. From our opening event with Jim O’ the Mills and Cáit ní Riain, to hands‑on workshops like resin jewellery making with Tina Keating, to informative talks like Dress Your Best with Geraldine du Berry, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

We’d like to thank to all of our wonderful facilitators, performers, and speakers who brought their time, expertise, and enthusiasm to each event. And of course, a heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended, supported, and celebrated with us throughout Bealtaine!

See you again next year!

Cashel Library’s exhibition for the month of June is “The Shape of Light”, a collection of photographs by Antoinette Dicker, who is from Kilfeacle.

Through her lens, Antoinette brings to life the essence of Ireland, blending its natural splendor with the captivating presence of its creatures, great and small. Her portraits capture the beauty of our surrounds and the light it shapes.

Antoinette’s work vividly showcases her passion for animals, the outdoors and the natural beauty of our surrounds. This exhibition features horses, cattle, sheep and the flora and fauna of Ireland. Her keen eye captures the unique charm and spirit of these magnificent creatures, while her landscape photography highlights the breathtaking beauty of the Irish countryside.

This collection also includes some wonderful examples of the beauty of our built environment. Antoinette has featured some of Irelands most iconic lighthouses, captured as built monuments to the shape of light. This powerful symbology makes this an exhibition that will immerse you in these small moments and truly stir your senses.

The exhibition will be officially launched on Tuesday 2nd June from 6pm. All are welcome. Libraries Ireland

Fabulous flower arrangements were made at yesterday's Hand-Tied Bouquet Workshop in Thurles Library, hosted by the talented Roisín O'Connell. The community space was left with as wonderful aroma as we end the Bealtaine Festival 2026 with this event.
