We're absolutely devastated to learn of the recent and sudden death of our friend and colleague Dermot Mulligan, Curator of Carlow County Museum.
His sudden and unexpected passing has brought profound sadness and shock to the Local Authority Museum's Network and the wider community.
Dermot was the long-serving curator at Carlow Museum, he left an indelible mark on Ireland's heritage sector through his professional passion, larger than life personality, and deep pride in representing his native county and the LA Museums Network.
Our heartfelt sympathies go out to his wife Grace, to his Mum & Sister and extended family & friends.
Dermot, you will never be forgotten, your friendship, support and presence in our lives has enriched us but know, our hearts are broken 🩷
