Kerry Civil Defence Civil Defence is a volunteer, second line emergency service and provides assistance to the community.

Kerry Civil Defence is a voluntary statutory organisation which operates as a second line emergency service. We provide medical cover (including Ambulance & Cycle Response Unit), Aux Fire Service (Flooding), Search & Rescue, Communications (including TETRA & Ambulance Control System) and Welfare Service (provides welfare at major emergencies for members of emergency services and also displaced persons).
