14/04/2016 - Neon Sunset, Fenit, Co. Kerry

Luckily, a prior engagement was cancelled, which gave me a last minute opportunity to get out with the camera. I really only had time to keep it local, so I headed down to Fenit Pier in the hope of something nice.

There was a lot of thick low lying cloud, but this did not hinder the amazing, almost neon, colours that the setting sun produced! I was really surprised by these fluorescent colours, and I decided immediately that a simple, clean, square image was in order!

The Roses will be visiting Fenit!
Some of this years contestants of the Rose of Tralee festival will be visiting Fenit this Saturday 15/08/2015 on board the Irish Naval Vessel L.E Ora.

The L.E Ora will be docked on the Main Pier in Fenit Harbour and will be open to the public from 15:00-17.30

Lets keep our fingers crossed for sunshine but with the Roses coming to visit the sun will surely pop out for a while.
