It was revived on 8th February 2022 on anniversary of death of Slovenian poet dr. France Preseren and Slovenian national day of culture. Idea of Slovenian society in Ireland started much before that. After Embassy of Republic of Slovenia was closed in November 2012 there was eminent need for a formal organisation of all Slovenians living in Ireland. Main aim of the association was at first to repr
esent the community of Slovenians and to bring Slovenian culture to Ireland. Since then we sucessfully expanded our activities to event organisation and business club. Currently we are actively expanding our membership base, which has at the moment more than 400 members. There are many more Slovenians living and working in Ireland. We believe that the power lies in friendship, collaboration and team work, which is reflected in all of our activities.
