Join the A-Team at the Talamh festival!

Join the A-Team at the Talamh festival! We are looking for a dozen people to join the crew of the festival this year. πŸ˜‡πŸ˜ŽπŸ€ͺπŸ˜ŽπŸ˜‡

What does the A stand for?! Well it can stand for a few different things depending on your superpower!

It could stand for APPRENTICE- Work with the land artists and learn new creative skills. Roll up your sleeves and get stuck in. πŸ’ͺ

Having your own transport would be helpful but not necessary. Last year the main tasks of our volunteer crew members were to help transport the artists to different locations around the Copper Coast. This year there are a lot less artists attending, so there will only be occasional lifts required. πŸš—

Instead, we really want you to get involved in the creation of ART. You can ASSIST the featured artist or they will be happy to guide you on your own creation. Don’t be shy! No experience required! πŸͺ£

The festival starts on Friday, September 19th and continues for six full days until Wednesday, 24th of September including some evening and night events.

We are asking that anyone who wishes to join the A-TeamοΏΌ would be available to participate for at least two full days. Alternatively, someone that is flexible to jump in and out with different times throughout the six days would also be great. πŸ™

Join us for the full six days if you like! Looking to expand your art experience? We are happy to take on any APPRENTICE once they are over the age of 18. Anyone younger will need to be accompanied by an adult. πŸ†

A-Team members will be added to a Whattsapp group that will be updated throughout each day of the festival. To join please WhatsApp Sean on 087 2524657 with your availability. 🌻

Here's five of my new favorite locations for Sand Art around Ireland. There's so many places to explore on this coastline! Whether I'm on a surf trip with my son or doing a recce for a commission I'm always on the lookout for new spots. I've picked 2 recent locations in Donegal, 1 in Sligo, 1 in Wexford and 1 in Waterford. I'll add further details in the description to go with each of the images. Pick your favourite!

Whirlpool #2 🌊 I returned to Benvoy Beach today as I’m fascinated by the sandbank that only appears there at the lowest tides of the month. Today’s 400mm tide at 1.21pm meant that the sandbank was accessible for over 2.5 hours. It’ll spend the rest of the month underwater! 🌎

The overall drawing is made up of a series of concentric rake strokes. Each stroke is a kind of muscle memory that is comfortable for the body to create and repeat. This is part of a series of drawings where I trying to create patterns using repetitive movements rather than continuous lines. πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ
