This evening at 16:17, our pagers were activated by MRCC Dublin to assist the National Ambulance Service at Garrarus Beach with the evacuation of an unconscious female casualty.

Working alongside emergency service colleagues, the casualty was safely evacuated from the beach and transferred into the care of the National Ambulance Service.

We wish the casualty a full and speedy recovery.

At 19:35, our pagers were activated by MRCC Dublin following reports of persons in difficulty in the Back Strand area of Tramore.

Teams were quickly deployed, and a full search of the area was carried out. Thankfully, nothing was found, and all crews have now safely stood down and returned to base.

A great response from all involved to ensure the area was thoroughly checked.

Remember — if you ever see somebody in trouble around the coast or at sea, dial 999/112 and ask for the Coast Guard.

This week’s training kept our search and rescue skills sharp with a challenging scenario in the sand dunes.

Our team located a casualty with suspected leg injuries and carried out a safe extraction using our skid and mule system.

We also deployed our new Safe Shield system, designed to protect patients from the elements while providing privacy during treatment and rescue operations.

Another great session building skills, teamwork, and readiness for real-life callouts. 🚑💪
