🎈Cruinniú na nÓg Festival 2026!🎈

🎉Saturday 6th of June from 9.30am – 1.30pm in Tubbercurry Community Library🎉

Join us to celebrate a day of children’s creativity with a range of FREE workshops & events for kids of all ages, including:

• 9.30am-10.30am: Sarah O'Keefe Anything-Can-Happen Story workshop (booking required)
• 11.15am-12.15pm: Niall de Búrca Storytelling
• 12.30pm-1.30pm: Jay Ryan Interactive Science show

And at 10.30am we have an ice-cream van – so make sure to get your FREE ice-cream voucher at the library desk! 🍦

REMINDER: MSLETB's Sligo Adult Guidance Service will hold an information session in Tubbercurry Community Library from 10am to 1pm tomorrow, Wednesday 20th May.

This is a drop-in session, so no appointment is required.

The information session is aimed at anyone who is interested in upskilling, changing career, returning to education or furthering their education.

Come along at any time between 10am and 1pm and find out how the Adult Guidance Service can help you. All welcome!

Do you have Leaving Cert exams coming up? Our My Open Library service offers extended opening hours and excellent facilities to help you get the most out of your study time.

When combining our Staffed and My Open Library services, Tubbercurry Community Library users can access the library from 8am to 10pm every day.

Opening hours:

• Tuesday: 12pm - 7pm
• Wednesday: 9.30am - 5pm
• Thursday: 9.30am - 5pm
• Friday: 9.30am - 5pm
• Saturday: 9.30am - 1.30pm

🟢 MY OPEN LIBRARY 🟢
• Monday: 8am – 10pm
• Tuesday: 8am – 12pm & 7pm – 10pm
• Wednesday: 8am - 9.30am & 5pm – 10pm
• Thursday: 8am - 9.30am & 5pm – 10pm
• Friday: 8am - 9.30am & 5pm – 10pm
• Saturday: 8am - 9.30am & 1.30pm – 10pm
• Sunday: 8am – 10pm

What is MOL (My Open Library)?
Automated access to the branch for library members via membership card and pin code during unstaffed hours.
Provision of self-service activities including, but not limited to:
- issue and return of books and other library stock,
- internet access on PCs,
- use of wi-fi,
- printing and photocopying,
- study/reading spaces, and meeting facilities.

The My Open Library service extends the availability of library services to customers at times that suit them best, providing greater flexibility and convenience through increased opening hours in addition to the invaluable staffed hours.

If you are not yet a Sligo Library member, you can join online for FREE or call into Tubbercurry Community Library with ID/proof of address.

If you are a Sligo Library member but not yet signed up for My Open Library call into Tubbercurry Community Library for a 10-minute induction and demo on how to use My Open Library 📚

We were thrilled to welcome Dr. Ailis Brosnan to Tubbercurry Community Library this afternoon for a wellness talk, as part of our Bealtaine 2026 line-up.

Dr. Brosnan delivered an inspiring and practical talk, speaking about the importance of exercise, a varied diet and a positive mindset for healthy ageing. Participants learned how midlife women can build strength, boost energy, and embrace vitality.

Thank you to Dr. Brosnan for an engaging and informative session, and thank you to all those who attended for your enthusiastic participation. We hope you left feeling motivated and excited for the years ahead!
