A chairde

It is with great regret that I will no longer be running as a candidate for Sinn Féin in the upcoming Council elections.

Unfortunately, due to unavoidable personal circumstances, I have had to make the extremely difficult decision to withdraw my candidacy. This has been a really hard decision as I was determined to represent the people of Tullamore and beyond at Council level on behalf of Sinn Féin. Whilst this is not to be at this time I wish my successor all the very best and I will do what I can to see him or her elected.

I also want to sincerely thank all of the people I have met during my time as a candidate. The support shown to me has been overwhelming and appreciated beyond words. The message I have heard loud and clear from our town is that people want CHANGE, and I will continue to support, campaign and advocate strongly for our community in everything I do. I'm not going away!

The upcoming elections are an opportunity for the people of Tullamore and beyond to vote for meaningful change, a fairer society and the unification of our country that will allow us to truly manage our destiny and work on the big issues such as the dreadful housing crisis, the spiralling cost of living and an unfit for purpose health service.

My running mate in the Tullamore LEA. Aoife Masterson, is a powerhouse and has a strong track record of effecting change, delivering real results and will work hard for everyone. She, and Claire Murray who is standing in Edenderry, are the type of strong, capable women we need to see elected and if you have not registered to vote please do so or the same failed politicians will remain in place.

Use your vote to support Sinn Féin to deliver the change we need and deserve and like my party, I will work to help the people of Offaly in whatever capacity I can.
