We have three Bord Failte approved loop walks (ranging from 6-10kms) which cover some of the most wonderful undulating hills and forests that Ireland has to offer. The trails are nestled into the beautiful Slieve Felim Mountains in North Tipperary. Upperchurch and the surrounding areas will offer you a warm welcome and walker friendly accommodation and food to suit individuals and large groups alike.

Easter Sunday Dawn Mass in Upperchurch.

On Easter Sunday 5th April, Fr. Tony will celebrate Mass at 7am on the Upperchurch Bog Walk. Mass will be followed by a walk around the bog. Afterwards, all are welcome to breakfast in Upperchurch Hall.

Donations will be taken up in aid of Trocaire.

The committee would be very grateful for any contributions of home made bread (can be handed into the hall before the mass)

Same time (6.30) and same place (Upperchurch).

Upperchurch Christmas Night Walk – Sunday 21st December

Join us for one of the loveliest nights of the year — the Upperchurch Christmas Night Walk takes place on Sunday, 21st December at 6.30pm, starting from Upperchurch Community Centre.
This year, instead of a registration fee, we ask for donations in support of our local St. Vincent de Paul and the Community Crèche. Every contribution helps local families at Christmas.

We’ll be taking the beautiful Moher Road route (approx. 7km), followed by refreshments and Christmas carols back at the Community Centre. A perfect way to get into the festive spirit.

Bakers Needed!
If you would like to contribute baked goods, they can be dropped in to the Community Centre before the walk. The committee would be hugely grateful.
Wrap up warm, bring a torch, and enjoy a magical community evening.
All are welcome!

It's that time of year again. Keep Sunday 22nd December free for our Christmas Night Walk.

Our Christmas Night Walk is in aid of St. Vincent de Paul. Registration from 6pm in Upperchurch Hall. In lieu of a registration charge, we are asking for donations for our local St. Vincent de Paul. We'll be doing a road walk of approx.7km. We'll pause during the walk for a mulled wine (no alcohol version also available) and a mince pie followed by a carol service. Refreshments in the hall afterwards. We'd love to see you on the night.

The committee would be very grateful for donations of baked goods which can be dropped in before the walk

Easter Dawn Mass in Upperchurch

On Easter Sunday 31st March, Fr. Tony will celebrate a dawn Mass at the Upperchurch Bog Walk. We will assemble at 6.30am to walk around the bog before mass at 6.45am.

(Please note that clocks go forward one hour at 1.00am that morning!)

After mass, people are invited to walk one more round of the bog. Then all are welcome to breakfast in Upperchurch Hall.

The committee would be very grateful for any donations of home-made bread or scones (which can be handed into the hall before the walk).

Thanks to everyone who helped out or turned up to support our Christmas Night walk last Sunday night.

We collected 1,400 euros thanks to you.
After expenses we were able to give 582 euros each to Suirhaven and Tipperary Homeless Services.
