Walkinstown Library will be closed from Saturday 30th May to Monday 1st June. (both dates inclusive)

We reopen here Tuesday 2nd June at 10am.

The libraries cataloguing system Spydus is experiencing a widespread outage. As such, unfortunately our My Open Library Service is not available this evening.

This is not a re-occurance of the door issue and we hope that the issue will be resolved by tomorrow.

We are pleased to confirm that My Open Library is now available again. My Open Library access is available from 8am to 10pm, seven days a week for registered users.

Important: A change in how to gain access
The entrance door now functions differently. To enter and exit the building, users must pull the door to open it and push it to leave.

Not yet a member of My Open Library?
Inductions are resuming from this week and are required for access.

Is your child starting school in 2026? Well, they can collect a free My Little Library Bag from Walkinstown Library.

The books and resources in the book bag are available in both English (agus as Gaeilge), and they support parents and children in the transition to primary school.

All families are welcomed to join the library if they are not already members. We have lots of books and resources for you!
