Ireland Wales Programme 2007-13 Interreg 4A The Programme aims to strengthen Irish-Welsh co-operation in the areas of employment, innovation, climate change and sustainable development.

The Ireland Wales Territorial Co-operation Programme 2007-2013 (INTERREG 4A) is an EU fund which supports joint cross-border initiatives between Ireland and Wales. Forty-one cross-border projects have been part-funded under two main priority areas, Knowledge, Innovation and Skills for Growth and Climate Change and Sustainable Regeneration. The Programme is an Interreg fund which means ‘Inter-regio

nal’. it is part of the European Territorial Co-operation objective and represents the building of links between regions around the European Union. Managed in Ireland by the Southern and Eastern Regional Assembly on behalf of the Irish Government, the Welsh Government and the European Commission, the Programme is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
