What's Going On In The Neighbourhood?

Pop into Waterford Shopping Centre Lisduggan tomorrow for a chat about what's happening locally as part our first Lifelong Learning Neighbourhood.

Time: 11am - 2pm approx.

From a monthly book club and parent and toddler mornings, to support with managing energy bills, a repair café and the launch of a new Women's shed, there is plenty going on!

The Learning Neighbourhood is about bringing these activities together, neighbours connecting with neighbours, sharing what's happening locally, and encouraging more people to join in.

The Parish is at its best when we're all part of it! Looking forward to catching up with new friends, familiar faces, and neighbours tomorrow. Please do stop by and say hello! 🚀

A fantastic day today in Croke Park for a ‘Learning Together, Learning Communities, Learning Neighbourhoods’ event as part of Shared Ireland funding.

A strong Waterford Learning City contingent here to exchange ideas, build relationships across the island of Ireland, and learn from other learning neighbourhoods.

Thank you to lifelong learner and resident Nuala Colfer, John Hearne representing Larchville/Lisduggan. Residents Association and Sarah Jane Duggan Community Development worker Buíon Phort Láirge for joining a panel to talk about our first pilot Learning Neighbourhood in the Parish, the reasons why it was chosen as a leading example locally and nationally, and the further benefits we hope a learning neighbourhood will bring to the wider community.

Hopefully the beginnings of many Learning Neighbourhoods for Waterford Learning City!
