The protests are spreading all across Ireland. This is the first day of the Truckers protest here in Dungarvan, but it certainly won't be the last.

People are sick of this government and its inaction, its arrogance and its unwillingness to support the working people of Ireland instead of their comfortable business friends.

The Dáil should be sitting this week. Sinn Féin has sought an emergency recall amidst the growing fuel cost crisis.

David and I are up for it - we want to be in Leinster House agreeing to urgent measures to reduce the price of diesel, petrol and home heating oil.

Workers, including health and social care workers, farmers, fishermen, hauliers and SMEs are all coming under huge pressure.

We’re here to take action - it’s a pity Government is still on holiday.

From 1916 to today, generations of Irish men and women have stood up for unity, justice, and equality.

We are the generation that carries their vision forward, towards a new and united Ireland.

Dungarvan Easter 1916 Commemoration

EASTER SATURDAY

All very welcome 🇮🇪

Assemble 11:30am at Walton Park in Abbeyside to parade behind a colour party over the bridge and to the 1916 monument at Dungarvan Town Park (The Lookout)

There will be a keynote address, a piper’s lament, wreath laying, flag ceremony, reading of the 1916 proclamation, and we will finish with Amhrán na bhFiann.

The Government’s botched Rip Off Rent Bill will hollow out protections for renters and drive up rents. Speaking to the media this afternoon alongside Eoin O’Broin TD.

If Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael wanted to solve the housing crisis they would build homes, not cave into the demands of developers and institutional landlords.

A sincere thank you to everyone who braved the weather yesterday for the annual commemoration of the Pickardstown Ambush, hosted by the McGrath O'Brien Cumann (East Waterford).

A special acknowledgement to Natasha Newsome Drennan TD (Carlow-Kilkenny) for delivering this year's oration. We were delighted to have Natasha with us.

The Volunteers of the East Waterford Brigade IRA, particularly Michael McGrath and Thomas O'Brien who lost their lives in the ambush, have been honoured and remembered for another year.
