Wexford Local Community Safety Partnership (WEX LCSP) held its fourth meeting this year on the 30th July 2026 at Wexford Council Chamber. This meeting included all public reps for County Wexford (Oireachtas and County Council Elected Members).

A full update was given on the work of the Partnership to date, and details on the development of our 3 -Year Local Community Safety Plan. We now look forward to the launch of our 3-Year Plan before the year end.

🌟 Boost for Wexford Communities 🌟
Wexford has been awarded €253,226.56 under the Local Enhancement Programme. Minister Jerry Buttimer highlighted the vital role of local groups and clubs in community life, while Minister Dara Calleary said the funding will help community organisations continue their invaluable work across the county. 👏💙

Inspiration was flowing at the recent National Outdoor Recreation Conference in the beautiful Slieve Russell Hotel in Cavan. The conference was opened by Minister Dara Calleary, minister for Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht.

Delegates from all over Ireland included LCDCs, County Outdoor Recreation Committee members, Local Authority Staff, Local Sport Partnerships, Rural Recreation officers, Local Development Companies and a myriad of operators from various outdoor recreation interests.

Ideas were shared, workshops were undertaken, and great discussion and participation followed.

All Counties are producing their own Outdoor Recreation Plans which will inform the direction of major capital works for outdoor pursuits. Exciting times ahead.
