What a wonderful evening it was, with an incredible performance by "Ha'Yehudim band", great food, cold drinks, and a fantastic atmosphere. 🎸🍔

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu Visits Ariel! 🇮🇱

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited Ariel.

During the visit, the city inaugurated “Netanyahu Road” in the Amirim neighborhood, named in honor of Prof. Benzion Netanyahu, the Prime Minister’s late father.

From there, we continued to Ariel University for another major announcement: the establishment of a university medical center in Ariel! 🏥

The new medical center will bring advanced healthcare services closer to home, while creating new jobs and opportunities for residents of Ariel and the surrounding region.

Prime Minister Netanyahu said during his visit:
“We are heading toward a city of 100,000 residents in the heart of Samaria! Ariel is the heart of the Land of Israel.”

Mayor Yair Chetboun said:
“The entire city of Ariel stands behind you, Mr. Prime Minister, in the fight for Israel’s security and our right to continue building, growing, and expanding. Thank you for your full support. Together, we will make Ariel Israel’s next metropolitan center.”

It is inspiring to see Ariel continuing to grow and develop. There is still much work ahead, but the direction is clear. 🇮🇱

ביקור ראש הממשלה בנימין נתניהו באריאל! 🇮🇱

ביום שלישי ביקר ראש הממשלה בנימין נתניהו באריאל.

במהלך הביקור נחנכה “דרך נתניהו” בשכונת אמירים, על שמו של פרופ’ בנציון נתניהו ז”ל, אביו של ראש הממשלה.

משם המשכנו לאוניברסיטת אריאל, עם בשורה נוספת ומשמעותית – הכרזה על הקמת מרכז רפואי אוניברסיטאי באריאל! 🏥

מרכז רפואי שיביא שירותי רפואה מתקדמים וקרובים לבית, לצד מקומות עבודה והזדמנויות חדשות לתושבי העיר והאזור.

ראש הממשלה נתניהו אמר במהלך הביקור:
“אנחנו הולכים לקראת עיר של 100,000 איש בלב השומרון! אריאל היא הלב של ארץ ישראל.”

ראש העיר יאיר שטבון:
“העיר אריאל כולה מאחוריך אדוני, במאבק על ביטחון ישראל ובזכות שלנו להמשיך לבנות, לצמוח ולהתרחב. תודה על הגיבוי המלא. יחד נהפוך את אריאל למטרופולין הבא של ישראל.”

מרגש לראות את אריאל ממשיכה לצמוח ולהתפתח. יש עוד הרבה עבודה לפנינו, אבל הכיוון ברור. 🇮🇱

The Sports and Recreation Revolution in Ariel Is Here! 🚀

Ariel marked an exciting milestone with the groundbreaking ceremony for the city's new municipal Sports Park, attended by Israel's Minister of Culture and Sport Miki Zohar מיקי זוהר- Micki Zohar , Mayor Yair Chetboun יאיר שטבון עיריית אריאל , members of the city leadership, Deputy Mayors Shira Dekel Katz, Alla Vainer אלה ויינר - Alla Vainer , and Yechiel Tuhami, President of Ariel University Prof. Ehud Grossman, Executive Director of Ariel Development Fund Liat Halevy Liat Halevy, Head of the Sports Department of the Ariel Municipality Lior Yerushalmi, and our dear friends Sasha and Leonid Raiz.

Thanks to their generous support and partnership, Sasha and Leonid helped turn this vision into reality and make this important project possible. We are deeply grateful for their commitment and friendship.

This world-class sports complex will feature football and basketball courts, four state-of-the-art padel courts, pickleball and tennis courts, a beach volleyball complex, and a professional climbing wall - creating a premier destination for sports, recreation, and family activities.

This is another significant step in Ariel's continued growth and investment in the quality of life of its residents.

The future of sports in Ariel has never looked brighter! 💙

Tisha B’Av (the Ninth of Av in the Hebrew calendar) is a day of personal and national reflection. It reminds us of the importance of shared responsibility and mutual care. 🤍

Last week, on the eve of Tisha B’Av, we gathered at the Eshkol HaPais Center in Ariel for an evening dedicated to building bridges: between religious and secular, between right and left, and among all members of our community.

We came together with one simple yet meaningful goal: to meet, to listen, and to connect.

The evening opened with remarks by the Mayor of Ariel, Mr. Yair Chetboun.

Together, we read from the Book of Lamentations (Megillat Eicha) and recited traditional Kinot, led by Noam Cohen. This was followed by the “Iron Pair” dialogue—an open and thought-provoking discussion on partnership and resilience in the face of disagreement, featuring Roni Levin, Division Operations Center Commander, and Rabbi Yaakov Idels, the Division Rabbi.

We concluded the evening with a community screening of the film “The Legend of Destruction.”

A heartfelt thank you to all the residents who joined us, opened their hearts, and took part in this meaningful evening. Special thanks to Gvanim Ariel for producing this unifying event.

Everything begins with us.

May we always increase Ahavat Chinam (baseless love) in Ariel. 🇮🇱

⚽🌍 The World Cup brought people together!

The City of Ariel hosted a special community evening at the park, featuring an outdoor movie screening followed by a World Cup Watch Party, where residents and visitors enjoyed family fun, great atmosphere, and community spirit on the big screen.

A special thank you to Mayor Yair for his initiative and support in making this wonderful community event possible.

Thank you to Gvanim Community Center for the outstanding organization and production of the evening, and a special shout-out to Yana Rosen for all her hard work and dedication.

Special thanks to the Sports Department for bringing even more excitement to the event with fun halftime prize giveaways and helping create such an amazing atmosphere throughout the evening.

עיריית אריאל קיימה ערב קהילתי מיוחד בפארק, שכלל הקרנת סרט תחת כיפת השמיים ולאחריה צפייה משותפת בגמר המונדיאל. תושבים ומבקרים נהנו מערב משפחתי, מאווירה נהדרת ומרוח קהילתית סביב המשחק הגדול על המסך הענק.

תודה מיוחדת לראש העיר, יאיר שטבון, על היוזמה והתמיכה שאפשרו את קיומו של האירוע הקהילתי המיוחד הזה.

תודה למרכז הקהילתי גוונים על הארגון וההפקה המצוינים של הערב, ותודה מיוחדת ליאנה רוסן על ההשקעה, המסירות והעבודה הרבה מאחורי הקלעים.
